TikTok is predicting Gen Z’s staple design trends will soon be considered as cringe as Millennials’. It’s no secret design elements Millennials once loved (chevron prints, mustache decals, and fairy lights) are now considered grossly “cheugy.” But certain Gen Z faves which replaced these elements might be getting the same treatment. In a TikTok video, 26-year-old creator Reeves Connelly recently pointed out that Gen Z design trends like checkered patterns, wavy mirrors, and mushroom lamps are just another take on Millennials’ preferences. Other users have been chiming into the conversation, agreeing that Gen Z’s trends will soon meet the same fate as Millennials’. One commenter wrote, “I haven’t had the guts to tell my sister that her cowboy frog tattoo is her generation’s mustache finger tattoo,” and received over 40K likes. (Insider)
