Gen Z young adults are experiencing heightened anxiety thanks to AI entering the workforce. The rapidly changing skills landscape and lack of support are main contributors. According to a Career Readiness Index by LHH, 35% of Gen Z respondents in the U.S., U.K., and France feel they lack control over their careers, and another 35% believe they can’t apply their skills effectively in their current jobs. However, there’s also a strong desire among Gen Z to leverage generative AI to streamline tasks, bridge knowledge gaps, and propel themselves into a new age of the workplace. YPulse’s AI Unpacked trend report shows young people think AI will indeed impact job opportunities in the future. (Digiday)
