The big celebs on your feed might be artificially generated. Thanks to Meta’s new artificial intelligence deal with celebs like Kendall Jenner, Charlie D’amelio, Snoop Dogg, and more, accounts are popping up of chatbots with their faces, but not their names. The accounts can answer DMs from their tens of thousands of followers (in the U.S.), and each has a different area of expertise—Jenner’s AI alter-ego “Billie” has a “big sister” vibe, in line with Zuckerberg’s hope for the bots to be fun and familiar. YPulse told you how Gen Z was creeped out by Snapchat’s AI that could chat like a friend, but Meta is hoping these interactive avatars will keep young users flocking to its platforms.
