The U.K. is about to ban children from using phones in schools. Although many schools in the country already have restrictions in place on phone usage, the British government wants to implement a flat ban in all schools. The new policy would allow students to bring phones to school for commuting, but their use during the school day would be prohibited. Other countries like France, China, and the Netherlands have already implemented national bans on mobile phones in schools, and the United Nations has recommended such bans to reduce classroom disruptions.
