Having lost her vision fully by 14-years-old, continuing to swim presented a skill-building challenge for Pagonis—but one she took on and mastered. Now, she uses her social media platforms to show her disability doesn’t box her into one specific identity; she says, “I want to show people I can dress cute, I can do my own makeup, and I can be a professional athlete.
