New research shows that there is a generational divide amongst generative artificial intelligence (AI) use. Data from Salesforce found that 70% of Gen Z is using the latest generative AI technologies, while 68% of people who haven’t used the tech are Gen X or Boomers. Furthermore, the survey found that of the people that do use AI (49% of the population), one-third use it daily while the rest use it weekly. Some of the main functions that these gens are using the technology for include “to automate work tasks,” for leisure, and for learning about new topics of interest. YPulse’s AI Unpacked trend report shows that Gen Z and Millennials are quickly adapting to a future with AI in it, with nearly half already having used AI chatbots. (Forbes)
