Many young Brits think university is unaffordable. A recent study by Open Uni revealed that almost half of high school graduates have questioned the affordability of attending university over the past year due to increasing living costs. The average student would have accumulated a debt of £45,000 by graduation, and nearly one-third deem it financially unfeasible. The findings coincide with a rise in university dropouts in the U.K., with a 9% increase in the number of British students leaving courses in the last academic year. The cost-of-living crisis is the biggest problem young Brits say they’re facing right now according to YPulse’s data from WE News Consumption and Trust Report. (iNews)
