“Mystery travel” has become a popular way for Millennials to see the world. The new trend is allowing this gen to incorporate more adventure and less stress into their travel experiences. The trip is booked through travel agencies that offer “mystery travelling” packages, so after providing just a range of dates, a budget, and certain parameters / preferences, travelers receive details of the destination, lodging, etc., just before the trip begins. The co-founder of mystery travel service Vacation Hunt says, “having someone else decide [the decisions of a trip] for you is honestly one of the biggest advantages of surprise trips.” YPulse research shows that eight in 10 young people agree that being well-traveled is important, and more say they like to leave room for spontaneity on a trip than plan it from start to end.
