Pizza Hut is partnering with Twitch to market to their younger consumer base. The restaurant chain is teaming up with the streaming platform for their “Friday Night Bites” stream on July 28, transforming a popular VTuber (which is a streamer who uses a virtual avatar to conceal their real identity) into the “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” character Donatello. Starting at 1 p.m. PST, the VTuber and Twitch streamers can play the popular “Among Us” game during a four-hour stream, and users that hop onto the stream have the chance to win gift cards to Pizza Hut. This marketing move is a continued effort to promote the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem movie coming out on August 2.
