Twitter, once a useful resource for Gen Z to network for jobs, is now falling behind LinkedIn. As the social media platform is quickly gaining a “toxic” reputation, the young gen is turning away from Twitter to more traditional job platforms like LinkedIn. A Gen Z LinkedIn user and CEO of a Gen Z ad agency says that “Outside of a small group of high-usage Twitter users, the majority [of Gen Z] looks down upon the platform as far too politically charged, argumentative, and toxic. As the young gen increasingly turns to LinkedIn, they are now the fastest-growing global demographic on the platform. And YPulse research shows that Gen Z and Millennials have been gradually moving away from their Twitter usage since 2016. (Fast Company)
