Gen Z is the most entrepreneurial generation to date. A recent study from ZenBusiness, an Austin, TX, platform that helps people launch and manage their own businesses, recently released a study showing that 93% of Gen Z “have taken a step toward exploring business ownership.” The study found that three quarters of 18-25-year-olds say they want to become entrepreneurs at some point in their lives. Plus, 84% of this gen “selected entrepreneurship as the most exciting of 12 career paths.” Gen Z is looking for healthy and progressive work environments and many are writing their own rules for how they want to run their work lives. This mindset is changing the workforce, especially the corporate world, as we know it and YPulse’s Employment and Career Goals report data shows that over a quarter of Gen Z agree that they plan to start their own business one day, even if it’s risky—and 16% say they’ve already started or are working on starting one.
