Bumble is hopping on the Barbie collab train by letting users match with the film’s characters. Barbie marketing is turning the ad landscape pink leading up to the film’s release—and young consumers are eating it up. From now until July 26, Bumble users will be able to match with characters from the movie and receive positive, uplifting messages from them in order to highlight Compliments, the app’s message-before-match feature. The unique feature lets Bumble users strike up convos with potential matches to facilitate more interactions. The move comes after a recent Bumble survey that found “75% of respondents feel that receiving a compliment from a potential romantic partner would make them more interested in that person.” (Marketing Dive)
