Gen Z’s fluency in artificial intelligence is helping to boost their future careers. At a prime age for learning and curiosity, Gen Z will have an advantage over all other gens as they adapt to AI tech in pace with it infiltrating many aspects of their school and work lives. Data from Pew Research found that young adults ages 18-29-years-old were more likely to have heard of AI chatbots like ChatGPT than other age groups. For those who said they view AI in a positive way and also said they had a job, “18% said they had already used the technology at work.” And according to Resume Builder, “nine out of 10 companies are in the midst of searches for employees with ChatGPT experience, with 30% of business leaders hiring workers with ChatGPT experience saying the need is urgent.” YPulse’s own AI Unpacked trend data shows that 65% of Gen Z have positive feelings about AI, and as they become more familiar with the tech, they’ll be better equipped for their future careers.
