Elon Musk just launched his new xAI company—but it is somewhat unclear what their aim is. The former CEO of Twitter just dropped the website for his new company, xAI, which explains its mission and team. The mission statement online is somewhat vague, though, saying “The goal of xAI is to understand the true nature of the universe,” and “to understand reality.” While Musk is the head of the company, he is teaming up with other employees who have worked at big artificial intelligence brands including OpenAI, Google Research, and DeepMind. Luckily, for those who may be confused about their vision, the company will host a Twitter Spaces discussion on July 14 so people can “meet the team” and ask questions about details regarding xAI. YPulse research shows that young gens feel mostly positive about AI for now, but emerging companies like Musk’s will likely be key players in swaying Gen Z and Millennials’ future opinions of the technology.
