Roku is partnering again with Shopify to make in-ad shopping easier. The two companies will expand their partnership to allow customers to browse and directly buy Shopify merchant products through Roku Action Ads by simply pressing “OK” on their Roku remote. Shopify’s integration into the streaming service’s Action Ads is the first “commerce integration” for third-party merchants, and brands including True Classic men’s apparel, game-based connected rower Ergatta, and Olly wellness signed as launch partners to hop on the deal. The director of product, checkout at Shopify explains that this partnership is “making it easier for more brands to drive deeper engagement with shoppers and reach new audiences.” YPulse research shows that Roku is amongst the top ten streaming services that Gen Z and Millennials turn to the most, so this collab will likely be a hit with young consumers.
