SHEIN is expanding its merchandise with Skechers, home products, and more. The fast fashion company is teaming up with third-party merchants and international brands to offer a wider range of products to its consumers including smart home items, Skechers, and appliances. Back in May, the retailer finalized its U.S. marketplace so that outside brands could sell their products on a SHEIN-branded site. As the company’s COO describes, this upgrade shows their “dedication to customer satisfaction and [their] mission to make fashion and lifestyle products accessible to everyone.” However, it is speculated that SHEIN’s developments are also a result of “congressional scrutiny over its business practices.” Although YPulse data shows that Gen Z has some disdain for brands that aren’t eco-friendly, still about one-third of the gen shops at fast fashion brands like SHEIN.
