Online retailer ASOS has partnered with the Fashion Minority Report (FMR) to launch ScaleUp, an incubator program. YPulse told you how the British retailer went viral last year for their inclusivity efforts—and it looks like the brand is on track to continue them. The program aims to address barriers and provide opportunities for ethnic minority business owners, enabling their “scalability” in the fashion industry. Two selected candidates will receive guidance from industry experts, wholesale opportunities (including the launch of a collection with ASOS), and one year of mentorship from business leaders. They will also have the chance to pitch for up to £20,000 in funding. Additionally, five emerging brands will be included in the program, receiving workshops, talks, and the opportunity to showcase their brand in a press and buyers’ showroom in February of 2024.
