British pupils’ reading skills are getting (very) good. The Progress in International Reading Literacy Study (PIRLS) is out now, and it came with good news for England: children in the country rank fourth globally for their reading skills, a big jump from the last time, when England ranked eighth. According to the report, children in the U.K. have the best reading skills of all European countries. YPulse’s own research shows that 51% of British Millennial parents read to their kids every day.
