A college math professor is helping young students work beyond AI’s capabilities. The growing popularity of artificial intelligence is a daunting subject when it comes to today’s middle school and high school students; it seems inevitable that this technology will soon outpace their developing math skills. But AI is no match for Carnegie Mellon University professor and coach of Team USA’s International Mathematical Olympiad, Po-Shen Loh. Loh will be delivering over 100 lectures over the next few months to young students all over the country, teaching them that “being human will only be more important as AI becomes more powerful.” YPulse’s AI Unpacked trend report data shows that 84% of Gen Z and Millennial parents agree: “We should be teaching our children that AI isn’t magical.” (WSJ)
