Disney+ is merging with Hulu content—but users must be subscribed to both in order to enjoy the perks. Disney CEO Bob Iger recently said the company will launch a “one-app experience” in the U.S. that incorporates Hulu content into the Disney+ app by the end of this year. While Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ will still be available as standalone options, the joining is intending to “provide greater opportunities for advertisers while giving bundle subscribers access to more robust and streamlined content.” However, the Disney+ ad-free tier will be raising its price, even after just being raised by $3 in December, which might not be too enticing for Millennial parent subscribers. YPulse’s Media Consumption report data shows 63% of Millennial parents agree: “I pay for too many streaming services right now” compared to 43% of non-parents. (Variety)
