Uggs continue to win Gen Z well past the winter months. The brand’s ankle-height mini boots were at the top of every Gen Z girl’s TikTok wishlist during the holiday season. The style is considered classier and sleeker than the previously popular mid-calf style from the early ‘00s and ‘10s. The hashtag #MiniUggs on TikTok amassed well over 80M views with girls dressed in athleisure and trendy skin-hugging jump suits showing viewers how they style their Uggs. YPulse’s brand tracker data shows that Ugg is among Gen Z’s top 20 coolest clothing brands—and this can be attributed to the fact that they’re constantly innovating while maintaining their classic styles. Zappos notes how “the nostalgia of the Classics [boots] still create positive emotions with customers while the new styles allow them to show off their attitude.” They’re winning over the younger gen by forming “authentic collaborations with designers such as Telfar, and campaigns with celebrities and influencers like actress Keke Palmer.” (Footwear News)
