Swehl is a new pro-breastfeeding startup created by two Millennial moms. According to research from UC Davis Medical Center, 92% of breastfeeders say they have difficulty with it, and the most common reasons for stopping breastfeeding include inconvenience or fatigue associated with milk supply. Now Swehl is seeking to “reimagine the breastfeeding journey by providing just about everything families may need in terms of breastfeeding support”—from products to education and emotional resources for new moms. Swehl has a product for every phase of the breastfeeding process and each one “comes with an educational experience, paired with QR codes that lead to expert-led tutorials.” Their Motherboard platform also hosts small “talk circles” that group eight people together and take place on Zoom.
