Millennial moms think they’re more nurturing than their own parents were.

Mar 23 2023

Millennial moms think they’re more nurturing than their own parents were. According to a survey of new and expectant moms by Everyday Health Group, mothers today “believe their parenting style is significantly warmer than the one they were raised with.” Seventy-one percent of Millennial moms describe their parenting style as “supportive” and 63% would describe it as “nurturing.” Meanwhile, “only 39 and 27 percent of responders, respectively, use those words for their own upbringing.” While one in four parents believe they’re doing a better job raising their kids than their own parents did, they acknowledge that their generation is more honest about parenting altogether. After all, YPulse data shows 87% of parents agree: “There’s no such thing as a perfect parent.” (What To Expect)
