Singing pints was a niche TikTok hashtag, and Guinness turned it into an official ad to promote its alcohol-free beer. You’d have to be a serious Guinness fan to know about the #SingingGuinness trend on TikTok, which currently has (only) 3M views: the concept is to poke holes into the foam of your Guinness, and blow on it to create…a singing face. Guinness took notice, and turned the gag into the official ad “Holding Out For a Zero” to promote Guinness 0.0, with creamy pints singing their foams off to the tune of—you guessed it—Bonnie Tyler’s classic song “Holding Out for a Hero.” It’s the first St. Patrick’s Day for Guinness 0.0, the alcohol-free drink launched by the iconic Irish stout brand only a few months ago. YPulse’s research shows that young Europeans are consuming more alcohol this year, but it doesn’t mean they won’t appreciate a pint of Guinness 0.0 to celebrate St Patrick’s Day. (The Drum)
