Have you seen Trivia pop-ups on your FYP lately? YPulse’s The TikTok Effect trend research shows over half of users say they visit TikTok to fight off boredom and the app’s new game is working to appeal to this. TikTok is testing out a new way to maximize engagement through gaming with a new TikTok Live trivia series. Beginning next week, TikTok trivia will run for five days and will be presented in partnership with Lionsgate, in support of the new movie John Wick Chapter 4. Any users 18-years or older in the U.S. have the chance to register for TikTok Trivia “by clicking on a trivia widget on the For You feed, searching for #TikTokTrivia, or by going to the @TikTok account to participate in real-time interactive trivia.” Plus, each day, players will have the opportunity to win cash from a $500K pool.
