Save Your Wardrobe and Popswap are new apps helping young consumers make the most of their clothes.

Feb 15 2023

Save Your Wardrobe and Popswap are new apps helping young consumers make the most of their clothes. YPulse’s research shows a growing number of young consumers are embracing secondhand fashion—and these new European apps are helping them reuse clothes more efficiently. First, Save Your Wardrobe is an app that “allows users to manage their clothes by creating a digital version of every item in their wardrobe.” The app is intended to remind users of the items they already have in their closets, in hopes of getting unworn clothes back in rotation. Save Your Wardrobe also “connects people to local services such as a dry cleaners, places where they can donate no longer wanted items, and repair and alteration shops to extend the life of their garments.” On the other hand, Popswap is a new app designed to help connect friends and exchange their clothes. The majority of the app’s users are 16-to-25-year-olds and 100K garments have been swapped on the platform since its launch in 2020. (BBC)
