Pinterest is tackling Gen Z’s digital wellbeing in a new campaign. In honor of Safe Internet Day this week, Pinterest is taking on this year’s theme of “together for a better internet.” The platform partnered with the “nonprofit social campaign #HalfTheStory to release a dedicated board filled with pinned resources for better internet practices, mental health support, and digital safety.” Pinterest’s Safety board allows users to click on posts like “Safer Internet 101, How Good Mental Health Hits Different, and Your Mental Health Checklist” that take them to various online mental health resources. The new board is similar to Snapchat’s mental health resources, Instagram’s Family Center, and TikTok’s in-app mental wellness hubs. YPulse’s Mental Health report data shows that 79% of Gen Z agree they like it when brands make mental health a part of their marketing and messaging. (Mashable)
