Wattpad is launching an educational video series for authors on YouTube. Each episode of Story School will address common difficulties authors face throughout their writing processes. Wattpad’s content leader Leah Ruehlicke, along with Wattpad-published authors including Loridee De Villa (How to be the Best Third Wheel), Matthew Dawkins (Until We Break), and Jessica Cunsolo (With Me) will guide up and coming authors through their careers. The first episode takes on writer’s block, and topics addressed come directly from the request of Wattpad authors to provide alternative guidance and advice to traditional publishing. Wattpad is banking on webnovels for the future and wants to provide support for their 5M+ authors—many of whom are Gen Z and Millennials. (Tubefilter)
