A dating app exclusively for Oxford University students was live for less than a week. OxShag was designed to “spice up the Oxford casual sex scene which is currently underwhelming,” according to its founder, an Oxford University student. But the platform was forced to shut down only a week after it was launched on January 7, due to a lack of privacy, and a major GDPR breach. So, the “overworked and undersexed” Oxford students (in the words of OxShag) will have to wait for more to have their own dating app. YPulse’s Dating and Relationships survey shows that dating apps are a top way that university students date and flirt.
