TikTok influencers are strengthening brands’ recruiting efforts. YPulse research shows that young consumers trust influencers for product recommendations, but more companies are finding that young people are trusting influencers for job opportunities now, too. We know some recruiters are ditching LinkedIn for social media to reach Gen Z and recently, more companies have been tapping influencers to promote open roles on the app and hiring influencers to post behind-the-scenes content that make the work environment look appealing. Plus, some are making use of their existing employees to reach young talent by becoming an inside-influencer for their business. YPulse’s Employment and Career report data shows 17% of Gen Z look for jobs on TikTok and 14% look on Instagram, but if they see more brand influencers hiring on their socials in the future, they’ll likely be more inclined to apply in these spaces.
