Gen Z is tackling their finances with a new “financial cleanse” movement on TikTok.

Gen Z is tackling their finances with a new “financial cleanse” movement on TikTok. YPulse told you how a growing number of young people are looking to finfluencers on TikTok for financial help—and now they’re starting off the new year with a way to get on top of a year full of inflation and other predicted financial hardships. The “30-day financial cleanse” was coined by creator Seema Sheth on TikTok, where she is inviting Gen Z and Millennials to a crash-course of sorts to the “building blocks of financial literacy.” For example, on the first day of financial resolutions, Sheth shows her viewers “how to keep track of monthly subscriptions, breaking them down by type, cost per month and annual price tag.” TikTokers are loving her “financial cleanse” series and other accounts are launching similar money-saving challenges to get ahead of the new year, too.
