More than 300 young naturalists gathered in Montreal for a youth summit ahead of the COP15 UN biodiversity conference. We’ve heard a lot about youth environmental activists getting involved in the COP27 last month, and demanding climate action from politicians. Now, it’s youth naturalists’ turn to make their voices heard, and they’ve just gathered for a summit with 300 peers in Montreal, a few days before the start of the COP15 UN meeting aimed at finding solutions to the issue of loss of biodiversity. YPulse’s data shows that 80% of young Europeans consider climate change a direct threat to human life, and our WE Causes / Charity and Activism report also found that climate change is one of the top five issues they’re most passionate about.
