Wellness marketing is everywhere now—and a new form of it is on the rise with young consumers.

Dec 02 2022

Wellness marketing is everywhere now—and a new form of it is on the rise with young consumers. Mental and physical awareness became an even bigger priority over the course of the pandemic. We’ve seen self-care routines go viral on social media and our What is Wellness? trend report shows that mental health has become a core part of wellness for young people. Now, “brain-care” is the next rising category in the industry. According to Dr. Bowen Jiang, M.D., neurosurgeon and wellness advisor for the brand No. 8, “Brain care encompasses all the mental, physical and social activities that promote healthy brain development as you age.” The brand launched nootropic gummies aimed at brain-care last year and more companies, including The Nue Co., Goop, and meal-delivery / wellness company Sakara Life, are following suit. Nootropics are considered “smart drugs” or any brain or memory enhancing substance. YPulse research shows that 86% of Gen Z and Millennials say taking care of their mental health is just as important as taking care of their physical health. (Glossy)
