Just over a year after taking the mick on Nike with the “Aldi’s just done it” campaign, the German supermarket’s new loungewear / sportswear clothing line is unmistakably designed to represent Adidas’ new logo, which was quietly changed a few months ago. The many fans of the grocery store have nicknamed the new clothing line “Aldidas,” and the exclusive collection is expected to sell out quickly. Previous weird marketing campaigns partnering up food companies and fashion brands—such as the Greggs’ clothing line in partnership with Primark—were a huge success among young consumers in the U.K. (Evening Standard)
