Dead characters from The Walking Dead have been revived in a series of ads from various brands. During Sunday night’s series finale, several characters were brought back (in zombie form) in a string of unrelated ads: “Milton, who gives a “DED Talk” for Autodesk; Rodney, whose severed head stumps for DoorDash; Gareth, who appears for video doorbell company Ring; and Andrea, who stars in ads for both Deloitte and ad tech platform Mntn.” The spotlights were brought together by Ryan Reynolds’ agency Maximum Effort and were intended to pay homage to the show’s legacy as a huge cultural phenomenon.
