This Millennial mom and child therapist is going viral on TikTok for sharing how to spot anxiety in kids. Melissa Griffing (@momtherapist) is letting parents know that “The first step in helping your kids to manage their anxiety is to help them understand what they’re feeling when they’re feeling it—which means you have to recognize that they’re anxious.” She goes on to share 15 common phrases anxious children often use, including some not-so-obvious ones like, “My tummy hurts,” My legs hurt,” I don’t want to go to school,” and “I think I’m getting sick.” Many of these signs have to do with experiencing physical symptoms. YPulse’s Mental Health report data shows that 87% of Millennial parents agree: “taking care of your mental health is just as important as taking care of your physical health.
