Pinna, a kids audio streaming service, has a new series aimed at making podcasts interactive. Yes No Audio is what they’re calling “the first-ever voice-activated interactive podcast series” where kids 7-12-years-old can interact with an escape room-like series. Three “adventures,” Escape the Haunted House, Escape the Sinking Ship, and Escape the Marshmallow Dream Forest, feature a host who poses questions that can be answered with a “yes” or “no” in a high-stakes scenario that must be completed within five minutes. Kids are excited by the fact they’ll be able to adjust the story based on their responses, similar to interactive shows Netflix has developed. YPulse research shows that podcasts for kids have been booming and since Millennial parents are worried about too much screen time, podcasts are proving to be an ideal alternate form of entertainment.
