American Express and TikTok are teaming up to help small businesses. In preparation for Small Business Saturday, the two companies are releasing a #ShopSmall accelerator in order to help small businesses engage young consumers, specifically Gen Z. According to American Express, “67% of Gen-Z users have shopped from a small business that was displayed on the TikTok ‘For You’ Page.” This prompted TikTok and American Express to release a video toolkit that will teach small businesses how to use social media to the best of their ability in terms of sales, marketing, engagement, and branding. Plus, they’re going to give “small business owners [a chance] to earn a $100 advertising credit once they have spent $50 on a TikTok Ad campaign.” As social shopping continues to grow among young consumers, it’s important for brands of all sizes to get in on these spaces.
