TikTok is launching TikTok Academy, an education program aimed at helping marketers reach young people on the app.Free courses will guide marketers through how they can use the platform and also include helpful explainers backed by research. It’s pretty essential for brands to be on TikTok if they want to reach young consumers. The hashtag #TikTokMadeMeBuyIt proves that young people are eager to make purchases directly from the app and share them there, too. So far, there are two courses available, “TikTok 101” and “Small Business” but a “Commerce” course is on its way soon. The lesson times vary from one to three hours and consist of videos, activities, and quick quizzes to test your knowledge. TikTok Academy participants will receive special badges and certificates they can display in their LinkedIn profiles when they complete their courses, which will be helpful indicators for recruiting.
