Bolt, known for their one-click checkout experience, is making online shopping even easier with their new Shopper Assistant. Rather than having annoying pop-ups on the site begging customers to enter their email addresses, the Shopper Assistant is a one-stop shop for “creating an account without having to leave the site.” The goal is to turn guest shoppers into account-holding customers in the most efficient way possible. After Tyler’s (an athletic lifestyle brand) started using the Shopping Assistant, the retailer saw a “16% increase in account registration, 14% increase in the retailer’s logged-in shopper rate and 6% additional increase in checkout conversion.” YPulse’s Social and Mobile Marketing Preferences report shows that young consumers like to make direct purchases from their social media, so making checkouts easier on websites may increase their odds of following through on purchases, too.
