Sally Beauty is launching a new product line that appeals to social media-trendy “bond building.” Beauty and hair care influencers have been revealing their go-to products for growing strong and shiny locks—and most have to do with anti-breakage and “bonding.” A hot buzzword under the hashtag #HairTok (35.8B views) on TikTok, “bonding” refers to reconnecting broken strands and split ends. Sally Beauty is jumping in on the trend with their new line, Bondbar, which will include a pre-shampoo, shampoo, conditioner, and styling cream. What may be most appealing to young consumers is that each product will retail for under ten dollars. Since Sally Beauty’s hair coloring brings in their greatest revenue, “every color customer that walks in the door becomes a potential customer for bonding treatments,” because dye can be damaging, and we know young consumers take their hair care (and trends) seriously.
