German consumers will be able to travel their country more than ever with a new $50 unlimited train ticket. Everything is about subscriptions these days: from Pret-A-Manger’s coffee subscription, to monthly sneakers, and now train tickets. The German government is indeed getting into the subscription trend with a subscription-based train ticket program. Starting January 2023, German consumers will be able to travel by train unlimited for a monthly subscription of €49 (except high-speed train journeys between Germany’s biggest cities). In the context of high energy prices and inflation, young people are likely to appreciate innovative solutions that help the environment—the biggest problem young Europeans say they face right now.
