GoHenry, a fintech app for teenagers, has gotten funding to further develop in Europe. The U.K. fintech app GoHenry was started ten years ago to offer cashless payment options for children and teenagers. When using GoHenry parents have full control over their kids’ spending, while children and teens receive budgeting advice and education. After expanding to the U.S., the company is now getting a new round of funding to grow its presence in Europe, and is expecting to roll out its services in Italy very soon. GoHenry’s development and initiatives such as Hollister’s Share2Pay feature shows that brands know the increasing power that Gen Z have over their parents when it comes to purchasing products. The retail industry is competing for ways to make Gen Z lead the shopping cart, and GoHenry might be the answer to help kids lead purchasing decisions in the household. (UKTech)
