Young adults are fearful that they can’t build their careers while also having kids. With bosses pushing for more in-office work, Millennials are grappling with the idea of giving up their casual WFH lifestyles that allowed them to have more time for children or returning their full attention to their careers. According to a Glassdoor and Harris Poll survey, “one in three U.S. employees think that having kids could negatively impact their careers.” Parents are being forced to choose between their flexible lifestyles that they’ve grown accustomed to within the last two years and going back to their lives before, which is resulting in many not returning to the job market altogether. A growing number of young adults are hesitant to have children and YPulse’s parent report data shows 16% of Gen Z says they have no interest in ever having children. (Fortune)
