Working moms without college degrees are returning to work in record numbers. According to Glassdoor, Millennial moms with children 5-years-old and under are participating in the workforce at pre-pandemic levels. Despite them being negatively impacted by the pandemic the most compared to Millennial moms who do have college degrees, mom’s without have been able to return to their jobs. Yet overall, working moms in general struggled through the pandemic more than working dads which shows the disproportionate burden put on mothers when it comes to child care responsibilities. YPulse’s recent Personal Finance and Services report data shows that 16% of Millennial moms say they’re not currently working and haven’t had a job for the past year while only 5% of Millennial dads say the same.
