TikTok made a money-saving Chipotle hack trend—but now the chain is putting an end to it. Young consumers know they can always count on their favorite app for a good hack, and they were quick to jump on the trending deal for Chipotle, one of their top favorite fast food restaurants. @HealthyJunkFood helped boost the hack (gaining over 8 million views), showing users a cost-effective way to build a burrito by ordering “a single $3 taco online, [and asking] for each ingredient on the side and tack[ing] on .40 cents for a large tortilla.” While a great hack for customers, Chipotle employees were being caught up by the time consuming process. To tackle the issue, their corporate headquarters announced that tacos would no longer be available to order online. (Food & Wine, Thrillist)
