Netflix is starting off their New Grad program set on emerging talent from recent graduates. The streaming platform has been ramping up their efforts to include young and diverse voices over the past year—and now they’re giving fresh grads the chance to gain on-site work experience similar to an internship. While they do already offer internships and entry level positions, their New Grad program is more focused on boosting work experience and providing mentorship by providing “professional/personal development workshops to prepare new grads for potential early career obstacles such as managing finance and overcoming imposter syndrome.” They’ve also recently partnered with the nonprofit Black N’ Animated “to launch its third Animation Foundation program [as well as] RespectAbility for The Children’s Content Lab—a program for creatives with disabilities who want to pursue a career in kids entertainment.” (Kidscreen)
