Doritos is tapping Snapchat, TikTok, and Fortnite by sending fans on a hunt for triangles. YPulse has long explored how brands get creative with augmented reality and now Doritos, a top 10 favorite Gen Z brand, is working with Snapchat for custom AR lenses that convert IRL triangle shapes into the iconic orange chips. Snapchatters will “receive a code to redeem snack products, merchandise and the potential to win a $250,000 grand prize.” Meanwhile on TikTok, the brand will announce their own weekly challenges every Wednesday that will send users across the U.S. to locate and film “iconic triangle shaped locations” and give TikTokers the chance to win $15K. Similarly, on Fortnite, Doritos is launching a new Doritos Triangle Island that will allow “streamers to swap triangles they see in games with chips.” (Marketing Dive)
