Millennials’ favorite internet teacher Bill Nye has a new series about the end of the world. Nye is back doing what he does best: blurring the lines between education and entertainment. The End is Nye will of course be about science, but more importantly it will emphasize (with humor) how science and technology can save humanity from future disasters. Now streaming on Peacock, the series focuses on both myth and reality when facing natural and unnatural disasters. From climate change to chemical warfare, each 45 minute episode will show how things can go very wrong for humans if we don’t take these threats seriously, but Nye also provides his mostly young audience a glimmer of hope, letting them know humans can survive, mitigate, and even prevent various catastrophes from occurring. YPulse’s Sustainability report data shows 74% of Gen Z and Millennials say that it’s up to their generation to stop climate change from getting worse. (Fast Company)
