Notion is Gen Z’s go-to productivity app that’s turning planning into an art form. YPulse’s New Content Creators trend research shows 50% of Gen Z say it’s important for them to have a creative outlet—and this holds true even for their planning. Launched in 2016, the Notion app lets users create “a digital workspace for organizing work and personal life” in a visually appealing way (think Pinterest meets the Notes App). Gen Z is using it to showcase their creative organizational techniques on TikTok, where they’re sharing how they “customize their budget trackers, class schedules and job-application databases with distinct emojis, images and color palettes.” The app is making productivity fun for young workers/students and even a simple to-do list can include a photo collage and “a job tracker can be updated alongside an embedded Spotify playlist.” Young people are especially jumping on the app for the opportunity to share and sell their design templates.
